Apple Citrus Fruit Gourmet
Ingredients:
20 dried, unsweetened apple rounds or slices
12 large dried apricots, pitted
1/2 cup raisins or dried currants
2 cups apple juice
1 tablespoon of grated orange peel
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
1 stick of cinnamon
2 fresh cloves
Instructions:
In a large soup pan combine all ingredients together. Heat over medium heat uncovered just until starts to simmer. Lower heat to
medium low and allow to cook about 1 1/2 hours. Be sure to stir frequently and you can add more juice if liquid is evaporating.
Remove cinnamon stick and cloves before serving.
