Pressure Cooker Vanilla Oatmeal

What You Need:

2 C of orange juice
1 C rolled oats
1/4 C of golden raisins
1 T almonds, sliced
1 t vanilla extract
1/2 t of cinnamon
1/4 t of nutmeg

How to Make It:

Pour the juice into the pressure cooker.
Add the oats, raisins, almonds and vanilla.
Sprinkle in the cinnamon and nutmeg.
Bring the pressure cooker to high pressure and cook 1 minute.
Remove from the heat and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve this oatmeal on a cold winter morning to help remove that early morning chill. Add milk, honey, sliced bananas or orange slices for a special treat.

Makes 4 servings

    Thanks for the recipe. All of the ingredients are healthy, wholesome and probably really flavorful after being cooked in a pressure cooker. Oatmeal is such a great way to start the day. It gives kids, as well as the rest of us, the complex carbs we need to get stared in the morning. This recipe really sounds yummy. Thanks again.
