Cashew Gravy



Here's the Cashew Gravy recipe that our family has used for years and years.  This is wonderful for vegetarian meals, of course, as well as for those who love turkey.  So eat healthy!

Blend well:

 1 cup cashews (raw)
 1 small can mushroom pieces
 1 small onion
 1 clove garlic (or more)
 2 cups water or broth

 Add to blender:

 1 cup water
 2 T. chicken seasoning
 2 T. Braggs Aminos (this is healthier than soy sauce, but soy sauce will be okay if you can't buy Braggs Aminos where you live)

Pour from blender into a large iron skillet. Heat to simmer. Add to thicken - ½ cup water with 3 T. spelt flour mixed in. This is the healthy gravy we use in our family. I hope you enjoy it!
