Eggnog French Toast
Ingredients:
½ cup of dairy eggnog (you can also use Silk soy eggnog)
1 organic or free range egg
4 to 5 slices of thick whole grain bread
Sucanat or Rapadura for dusting
2 tablespoons organic butter
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine the egg and the eggnog.
2. Dip sliced bread into the egg mixture.
3. Turn over the bread and allow to sit in the egg mixture for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
4. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté each slice of bread over medium heat for 2 ½ minutes or until golden brown.
5. Turn over the bread and cook for an additional 1 ½ minutes.
6. Serve while hot, sprinkling with sweetener as the finishing touch.
