Apple Cinnamon Dessert Topping

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon butter
4 firm, tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

Place the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Allow the butter to melt completely. Add the apples and stir to cover with the melted butter. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the top of the apples. Continue cooking on medium heat about 10 minutes or until the apples are fork tender. Top your favorite ice cream, pancakes, pound cake or any other dessert or food.

Grilled Honey Mint Pineapple

Grilled Honey Mint Pineapple

What You Need:

1 fresh pineapple
Olive oil cooking spray
4 TBSP honey
2 sprigs of fresh mint

How to Make It:

Peel the pineapple.
Cut the pineapple into 2 in slices.
Spray the grill with the non stick cooking spray.
Heat the grill to medium heat.
Grill the pineapple slices 2 minutes.
Turn and continue grilling for 1 to 2 minutes or until just lightly grilled.
Place the pineapple on a serving plate.
Spread the honey over the top of the grilled pineapple slices.
Garnish with the mint.

4 Servings

Grilled pineapple slices make a great cookout snack. They are healthy and have a sweet taste. Be sure to use a sharp knife when peeling the pineapple and a melon baller works well to remove any eyes that remain in the pineapple after it’s peeled.

Edible Ladybugs

Edible Ladybugs

What You Need:

24 red grapes
24 strawberries
Mini chocolate chips
1 Honey Dew melon
24 wooden skewers

How to Make It:

Place one grape on each skewer.
Add a strawberry pushed up to the grape.
Carefully push the mini chocolate chips into the strawberry for the ladybug spots.
Use a knife to make a small cut to each side of the strawberry for the wings.
Peel the honey dew melon and place the skewers into the melon.

24 Servings

This is not only a relatively healthy snack or dessert for children but it is a delight to make. Kids and adults will enjoy these edible ladybugs.
