Homemade Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

Boxed macaroni and cheese usually contains artificial ingredients like food coloring and preservatives. Making your own homemade recipe is so easy and fast, and it saves money and waste too. Here's one to try.

1-pound box of whole grain macaroni, cooked

For The Cheese sauce

1 TBSP flour
1 TBSP butter
1 cup organic milk
Shredded cheese

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Melt the butter in a saucepan, when bubbly; add the flour and cook, stirring continuously for 2 minutes.

Whisk the milk into the flour and butter mixture and whisk continuously until it has thickened (This will happen very quickly)
Add cheese and stir until melted and pour over the cooked macaroni. Mix well and place in a well-oiled butter dish.

Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes

For a quicker version, skip the baking. Just mix the noodles and cheese and serve!
