Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
12 red potatoes, cleaned, cubed and boiled
1 stick butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
salt and white pepper to taste
Direction:
Prepare and boil potatoes until tender. Mash initially with a
fork and then add butter, garlic and milk. Blend with an electric
hand mixer until smooth. Fold in sour cream, watching consistency.
Do not add all sour cream if potatoes become too fluid, but add
more if they are too stiff. Salt and pepper to taste. For a
festival holiday presentation, add finely chopped green onion tops
to each serving at the table.
