Spicey Plums
Ingredients:
Canola oil
3 tablespoons minced shallots
1 1/2 pounds red plums (4-6), unpeeled and sliced 1/2 inch thick
2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
1/4 teaspoons ground allspice
1/8 teaspoons ground ginger
Instructions:
Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shallots and cook 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add plums. Cook 5 minutes
or until plums just begin to soften. Sprinkle with sugar, allspice and ginger. Reduce heat to medium low and cook 7 to 10 minutes or until
tender.
